The RHD Foundation and the Russian Academy of Sciences have signed a Cooperation Agreement aimed at improvement of the Academy employeesТ housing conditions

Today, April 27th, the Russian Housing Development Foundation and the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) have concluded a Cooperation Agreement aimed at achieving the targets on provision with economy-class housing and improvement of housing conditions of the Academy’s employees and preparing the Foundation’s proposals on use of the land plots provided by the Academy for housing and other development.

The document was signed by the Director General of the RHD Foundation, Alexander Braverman, and the President of RAS, Yury Osipov.

Within the frames of the Agreement signed, the parties plan preparing jointly the proposals concerning use of the federally-owned land plots and immovable properties given to the Academy and its subordinate organizations, including provision of economy-class housing and improvement of housing conditions of the Academy’s employees. The RHD Foundation, within its authority, will render assistance in forming land plots to be put into turnover for housing development purposes out of the lands given to the Academy and its subordinate organizations.

The Academy, on its part, will furnish information on the demand for living space required for the Academy’s employees based on the norms set forth by the RF legislation and the Academy Presidium, while the RHD Foundation intends assisting the Academy to acquire such housing at the expense of its guarantees of buying out the economy-class housing erected in the Foundation’s land plots.

The Agreement also envisages that the RHD Foundation and RAS, together with AHML OJSC, will initiate development of a program of mortgage lending of the Academy’s employees for buying the housing erected in the Foundation land plots.

Besides, the Agreement prescribes the procedure of interaction between the parties providing for establishment, if necessary, of a work group on parity basis to achieve the missions assigned to it.
